The Real Story Behind Bamboo Wipes - Why Material Matters

The Real Story Behind Bamboo Wipes - Why Material Matters

Why Material Matters

Products used everyday, especially on babies should begin with the right foundation.

Yet many wipes still rely on synthetic fibres, hidden plastics, and materials chosen for cost rather than skin health or environmental impact.

At Purever, we chose differently.

From the beginning, our wipes had to be safe for skin, effective in use, and responsible by design.

That decision led us to one material: bamboo.

Our signature wipes are made from 100% bamboo fibre non-woven spunlace cloth derived from plant-based, biodegradable material, it is soft, strong, and naturally free from microplastics.

For us, material isn’t a detail.  It’s the foundation.

Why we choose Bambooo

Bamboo met every standard we set.

  • Naturally soft for delicate, sensitive skin

  • Strong and durable without tearing or shedding

  • Plant-based, biodegradable, and plastic-free

It’s widely recognised in textile research for its sustainability and skin-friendly properties, making it ideal for products used in direct contact with babies.

Not just a greener choice.
A gentler one.

What You Won't Find Purever Wipes

Material is only half the story. Formulation matters just as much.

Our standards are simple and non-negotiable:

  • No alcohol

  • No parabens

  • No harsh or unnecessary chemicals

Only ingredients selected to minimise irritation and support sensitive skin.

Purever wipes are Dermatest® certified in Germany, and we proudly partner with the Eczema Association Australasia (EAA), with our products developed with sensitive and eczema-prone skin in mind.

For safety isn’t a claim. It’s a requirement.

Designed for Everyday Life

Thoughtful design makes daily care easier.

Our one-sheet-per-pull system reduces waste and frustration, especially when one free hand makes all the difference.

Small details. Real impact.

A wipe may seem small, but used many times a day, the choice adds up.

Gentle on skin. Reliable in use.

At Purever, caring for families and caring for the planet should never be separate decisions.

And it starts with what touches the skin first.
